About The Event

Disability Sports Australia invites people living with sensory, physical or intellectual disabilities to the free Central Coast Abilities Unleashed School Holiday Program.

Proudly supported by The Office for Regional Youth and delivered by Disability Sports Australia - this one day multi-sport come and try day is designed to provide people with disabilities aged 25 years old and under the opportunity to be active in a positive and inclusive environment.

How the day will look

Participants will be split into smaller groups  upon registration. After a welcome at 10 AM, they will rotate across 4-6 stations. These activities will consist of modified sport and active recreation with the use of adaptive equipment to suit the participants. The stations will be facilitated by specialised coaches with the support of students and community organisations.

The formalities of the day will finish at approximately 1 PM. Participants will need to bring their own snacks and lunch in the breaks.

A detailed run sheet will be provided one week prior to the event.

Photography

There will be videographers and photographers capturing content of the event with the intentions of promoting disability inclusive sport. A media consent form will be sent across. On the day, participants wishing to not be captured will be given a choice of a bib or coloured wristband.

Places are expected to fill quickly, register today!
